Pilgrimage to Poland, Czech Republic & Austria

Dear Parishioners..!

Please join us (Fr Michael from Hampton, and Fr Zenek) for pilgrimage to Poland (Krakow, Wadowice, Czestochowa), Czech and Austria (Vienna and Melk) July 7th - 16th, 2010

Day 1 Departure for Prague - July 6th, 2010

Your pilgrimage begins with flight to Prague; meals are served on board of the plane


Day 2 Arrival to Prague - July 7th, 2010

Upon arrival we go for city sightseeing tour of Prague where we meet city and its most important landmarks such as Charles Bridge, old town of Prague with gothic church of Our Lady of Tyn and Astronomical Clock. Dinner is in one of local restaurants, first night in Prague.


Day 3 Prague City tour - July 8th, 2010

Today our pilgrimage will start with visit to Royal Castle and St. Vitus`s Cathedral morning visit to the church of Our Lady Victorious and The Prague Infant Jesus. After city tour we are free for the afternoon, shopping and lunch on the main square. At the end of the day we are on dinner and second night in Prague.


Day 4 Prague - Wadowice - Krakow - July 9th, 2010

Today our tour continues with bus ride to Poland, on the way to Krakow we will stop in the town of Wadowice, birthplace of Karol Woytila. After visit of the museum, house where Karol was born and church he was baptized in we will continue to Krakow. Check in to hotel, first night in Poland.


Day 5 Krakow  city tour - July 10th, 2010

In the morning after breakfast we are on the way of sightseeing of the downtown of Krakow. Walking tour will include the Market Square, the church of the Assumption of Virgin Mary, the Royal Castle on Wawel, The Cathedral of Wawel and The Crypt of St. Leonard where our Pope John Paul II celebrated his first Holy Mass. After lunch break we are on our own in the center of Krakow, at the end of the day return to centrally located hotel, dinner and overnight.


Day 6 Krakow - Congregation of Divine Mercy - Wieliczka Salt Mine - July 11th, 2010

Our third day of pilgrimage to Poland will have beautiful start in the Sanctuary of the Divine Mercy just few miles outside the Krakow where Sr. Faustina experienced extraordinary encounters with Jesus. After holy mass here we will continue to the magnificent salt mine Wieliczka, breathtaking halls under the ground dig in salt. Return to our Krakow hotel.


Day 7 Excursion to Czestochowa and Auswitz - July 12th, 2010

Early morning we leave Krakow and drive on the north to Czestochowa, Jasna Gora the most popular Polish sanctuary for over 600 years. Prayer before the Miraculous painting, Holy Mass and the story of Poland which cannot be told without a Black Madonna. On the way we stop at the Auswitz place of the biggest tragedy in the recent human history and hear of life of St. Maksymilian Kolbe, hope and the love for our God should never die. At the end of the day we are back in Krakow.


Day 8 Krakow - Vienna - July 13th, 2010

After breakfast we leave Krakow and Poland and our goal is Vienna in Austria late afternoon arrival in Vienna. After checking in the hotel and in the evening we will see the inheritance of Habsburg Monarchy in its best. Panoramic city tour by bus passing by most important city landmarks.


Day 9 Vienna  city tour - July 14th, 2010

Today we continue with the sightseeing of Vienna. City of Strauss and Mozart, city of the most beautiful architecture as a testimony of once biggest Empire in Europe. We will see "Karlskirche" one of the finest churches of the high baroque period, the Hofburg, after a coffee break and famous Vienna "Sacher Torte" in coffee shop, we are on to the Schonbrunn Royal palace, Belvedere palace with its beautiful garden. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.


Day 10 Excursion to Benedictine Monastery Melk - July 15th, 2010

Full day excursion along the Danube Valley including visit to Abbey of Melk, Benedictine Monastery and after Holy Mass we will return to Vienna, some leisure time before farewell dinner and last night in capital of Austria.


Day 11 Departure - July 16th, 2010

After breakfast transfer to airport for your flight back home to US - arrival same day.

DEPOSIT POLICY:

1st deposit: - February 15th - min 500.00 USD per person - 350.00 USD refundable for all cancellations until March 1st


2nd deposit:-March 15th - min 1000.00 USD per person to be paid by April 1st


3rd and  final deposit/payment - to be made by May 5th, 2010, final amount  based on rates above:
- Min 20 pax + 1 free = $1695.00 per person  

- Min 25 pax + 1 free = $1595.00 per person

- Min 30 pax + 1 free = $1495.00 per person

 

- For single room supplement of $440.00 to be added to the total costs - max 1 single room on 5 double/twin rooms

 

Airlines/Airfares - cancelation/penalty policy:

Cancellation by March 1st - no penalty          

Cancelation March 2nd until April 1st - penalty of $150.00 per person/seat

Cancellation April 1st until April 28th - penalty of $300.00 per person/seat

Cancellation on or after May 24th - non-refundable

Names of people participating in the pilgrimage:

April 28th   - list of all pilgrims to be sent before or no later than by April 28

May 20th - final list of all pilgrims must be sent no later than May 20th

 

Name on the list for ticketing must be as it appears in the passport!
